Tell the Senate Armed Services Committee to Keep the Door Open for Afghan Interpreters
Next week the Senate Armed Services Committee will consider the National Defense Authorization Act, the bill that sets the annual budget and polices for the Department of Defense. It usually includes a provision to extend the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program for the “terps” and translators who served alongside us in Afghanistan. This year, the SIV program could be at risk, with limits to eligibility criteria and a reduction in the number of visas granted.
As veterans, our voices can make a difference for those brave Afghans who served with us. Sign this petition and spread the work to help ensure that no one is left behind.
