Put in prisons for seeking protection in the U.S.
Tell the Department of Homeland Security to improve the treatment of asylum seekers immediately
Each year, thousands of men and women flee persecution in their own countries to seek asylum and protection in the United States. But when they arrive here, many of these asylum seekers find themselves held in jails and jail-like facilities, often without any opportunity to have a judge review the need for their continued detention.
Right now, the new leadership of the Department of Homeland Security has an opportunity to make things right, but we need your help to make sure they know the public is demanding change. Please write the Department of Homeland Security today and urge them to improve the treatment of asylum seekers immediately!
