Tell Secretary Kerry: Help Chen Guangcheng's Nephew in China

Although blind "barefoot" lawyer Chen Guangcheng is now safe in New York, he continues to fear for his family in China--especially his nephew Chen Kegui and his child.

Kegui was arrested and convicted of "intentional injury" for defending his family when local officials stormed into his house and attacked his mother and father. Reports indicate that Kegui has been tortured—including by severe beating and food and sleep deprivation. Now, Chinese authorities have threatened to harm Kegui’s pre-school-aged child.

Urge Secretary John Kerry to put human rights first in U.S. relations with China by following up on Kegui’s case and demanding that Chinese officials stop further intimidation or harm to Chen’s family.
